Seek Salt Lake City Player Technician
By Marc Sachnoff
Dear MMD Folks:
It's been a while since I've had the opportunity to check in. My
Seeburg C is just about ready and I'm looking forward to playing the
hot A-roll I got from Rob Deland. I'm still looking for A-roll recuts
if any of you have spares to offer. Am also seeking replacement art
glass panels for the five round topped panels clear bevelled glass
ones my piano came with.
The main reason for my posting is that a good friend in Salt Lake City
who owns an Apollo-phone (combo player and wind-up phonograph) is
looking to have it restored. The spring wind motors, both spool box
and phonograph are still in good shape, but the bellows, tubing,
pneumatics etc need restoration. The piano itself needs attention.
I'd be happy to send any referrals to my friend as his piano is a good
one and well worthy or restoration. Just a thought, my friend is a
master electrician (always good to have one as a friend) and might
consider trading electrical work for piano work.
Best wishes for a safe 4th of July holiday to all.
