[Bruce Clark asked about replacement boxes.] Bruce, I posted a notice
several months ago regarding new roll boxes. They are made from
80-pound cardboard, then covered with black lizard-skin paper. They
have thumbholes and will accept all size rolls except the Ampico
Jumbos. They are 3 1/8 W x 3 H x 12 5/8 L; these are the outside
dimensions of the cover.
I have about 250 of them left from a roll recutting project, and
am happy to offer them to all concerned. I recently sold 240 to a
California collector. They are $1.50 each, in lots of less than 100,
less if you buy the whole bunch; plus shipping.
The advantage of using one size box for all the different sized rolls
is that they stack better and look more uniform. Contact me if you're
interested.
Regards,
John McClelland
