PianoDisc will not reformat pre-formatted disks reliably. It has a product specific format and so will not play midi files from your PC. Things are being done in engineering to change all that. If you were to format a DD disk in the PianoDisc control head, run your PC through a DOM 30 or DOU 10 or similar midi controller into the PianoDisc midi in jack, you would then be able to record your PC files onto your PianoDisc disk and it would play. A new idea in engineering may be reality by the Winter NAMM show that will eliminate all the MIDI controller stuff, and make the PianoDisc MIDI functions a little more friendlier towards users like yourself. Will it be an upgradeable function of your model 128?? We'll see and let's hope so. If you gotta have it sooner, try obtaining some conversion software available from

His software has been the rage amongst users like yourself. Good luck.
