Talked to the folks at QRS and they haven't heard of this before. (However, the main music honcho is on vacation for 2 weeks.) Are you hearing this bass-boost on all QRS orchestrated music? If you E-mail me your album numbers, I will follow up in a couple of weeks.

I am not a PianoDisk person, but I have been told that you must have the latest version of their software for computer generated MIDI disks to play.
Also, I believe you must use HD disks, not DD. I have had problems with some stand-alone MIDI disk players trying to format disks that were previously formatted by something else. The solution was to bulk erase the disk. Radio Shack sells a bulk eraser for, I think, less than $15.

This is a good point, since the music from ALLl vendors is not cheap. Don't really have a good answer. Probably only 1% (if that) of owners of solenoid piano systems are connected to the Internet. THEN, how many of them are willing to submit "reviews" of their music that could be made available to all?

What we may be able to do, as a start, is identify some Internet owners of these systems that are willing to have their net addresses and equipment lists on a "list". I will write a separate letter to this group about this idea.
