MMD Pictures tmw1 |
Technical Museum of Vienna text & photos by Thomas Henden Here are five pictures from the Technical Museum Wien, taken in the hall where they keep automatic as well as ordinary musical instruments. (No, not that ordinary! There were instruments there which I have never seen or heard about!) There was no flash allowed, so these pictures are all taken with ASA 100 film at f/1.4 to f/2.8, at about 1/30, 1/15 and even 1/8 second, with no tripod! I have worked a bit on them using Paint Shop Pro to make them appear better (sharper) than they originally were. :-) There was information about all the instruments on small boards beside each instrument. If anyone recognizes some of the instruments, and would like to fill in, please do so. If someone is very interested, it might happen that I scan and put on the web those tramway pictures too. There are pictures from the museum, and from the streets. Thomas Henden.
