TITLE>Organ at Uniting Church of Australia in Forest St in Bendigo
Organ at Uniting Church of Australia in Forest St in BendigoFrom: Michael Waters <mwaters@ruralnet.net.au> To: rolls@foxtail.com (Mechanical Music Digest) Date: Tue, 16 Dec 1997 22:42:49 +1100 Subject: Organ in Australia I have just been to a the wedding of one of my cousins on the weekend, which was held in the Uniting Church of Australia in Forest St in Bendigo. It had a wonderful looking and sounding pipe organ in it which I thought a few of those on the list might be interested in so I have included a photo of it. If you look hard enough you can just see the edge of the organists console up in the balcony on the right. Jody I guess you might wish to put it on the MMD web site. I'ts taken on a digital camera in three frames and stitched together, not the best of quality as it was a little dark inside but OK. By the way I think the church was built around the 1860's. But I have no idea what sort of organ it is (I'm a piano boy!) Regards Michael Returnto index page. |
