a stringed instrument and floral designs. The sides have floral decorations.

Lot 47. MAHOGANY INLAID MUSIC CABINET WITH MIRRORED BACK: Two
front finial posts support the top. String inlay on front with one drawer
and one door with beautifully inlaid violin, trumpet, tambourine, and floral

Lot 49. TOURNAPHONE ORGANETTE ON STAND: Plays 14" wide paper
roll. Gold stenciled black case and stand. Stand has drop front door for
roll storage with "Music" stenciled on front. Has two original rolls, as

Lot 68. WILLIAM B. TILTON/ZOGBAUM & FAIRCHILD FLAT TOP ACOUSTIC
GUITAR: Serial #2111. Brazilian rosewood body with string inlay . This
guitar has the engraved German silver disc in the sound hole. Patent 1856.
The German silver tail piece is nicely engraved in a floral pattern with
two engraved medallions. The first is engraved "Awarded to Zogbaum &
Fairchild for the Best Guitars Tilton Patent 1865" and the second is engraved
"American Institute N.Y.". Tail piece has small line. This guitar is in
very good original condition and has its original wooden carrying case.

grandfather clock with great broken arch bonnet top having nice scroll
carvings, Corinthian columns, and graceful spire finials. The case has

dial. Fancy brass floral mountings and columns. Brass movement. A beautiful

Lot 85. FRENCH STATUE CLOCK: Black cast iron case with spelter
decorations. The left side features a full standing angel with large wings
playing a harp, the right side with bow and quiver of arrows. The 4" black
dial with gilt numerals. Movement marked, "Medaille D' Argent, Vincenti,

Lot 86. THREE PIECE NEW HAVEN FRENCH STYLE CLOCK SET: The clock
stands 15" h. with porcelain insert of three dancing maidens in flower
garden and bust of woman with wings forming the feet. 17" candleholders
with French scenes on porcelain inserts. One boboche is missing, otherwise
excellent condition.

Lot 116. OAK HORNER WINGED GRIFFIN HALL SEAT WITH BEVELED MIRROR
BACK: Rare, semi-hooded top, quarter-sawn oak, 2-piece Horner hall
seat with full standing winged griffins and Ionic fluted columns holding
the hood. Below the mirror is a profusely carved panel with Man of the
North Wind and heavy foliate scrolled carvings. The base, having large
claw feet, is fully carved with standing griffin bodies at each side, and
egg and dart carvings. A tremendous hall seat! Note: matching similarities
to #117 sideboard. 74" w x 23" d x 78" h.
Lot 117. OAK HORNER WINGED GRIFFIN SIDEBOARD WITH BEVELED MIRROR
BACK: Large and impressive quarter-sawn oak, Horner, New York, full
standing winged griffin sideboard. The upper structure with arched canopy
top with carvings, supported by Ionic fluted columns and winged griffins,
& a beveled mirror in the back. The bow fronted claw foot base with
two relief-carved drawers and central door, two other drawers and two cabinet
doors. Standing 22" lions at each corner of the base. Excellent original

Lot 118. OAK HORNER WINGED GRIFFIN DINING TABLE: Wonderful 60"
Horner, quarter-sawn oak, full standing winged griffin dining table with
large paw feet and elaborate 5" banded table top surface carving. A wonderful
table with three leaves in excellent original finish. 60" diam., 30" h.

of 14 matching quarter-sawn oak dining chairs, consisting of: 7 armchairs,
1 ladies chair, and 6 side chairs. Six of the armchairs have matching velvet
brocade upholstery, the remaining 8 have matching gray leather upholstery.
Wonderful carved crest with central cartouche and foliate-scroll carving,
cabriole carved-knee legs, and carved claw feet. The chair backs with laminated

Massive quarter-sawn oak full standing winged griffin sideboard. The upper
structure
with a full canopy top and large mask carved cartouche supported by turned
and carved columns and full standing winged griffins, a beveled mirror
in the back, the bow fronted base with a relief-carved drawer lined for
silver over conforming cabinet doors, with additional relief-carved drawers
over cabinet doors to the right and left, all over one full length drawer,
raised on carved paw feet. Excellent original finish. 72" w x 26" d x 75"

Lot 149. ART NOUVEAU NEWEL POST LAMP SIGNED J. CAUSSE: Of lady
with flowing dress and three light sections above with leaf designs. Beautiful
bronzed spelter lamp with cold painted green accents. Needs wired. 22"

CYLINDER SHADE WITH FLORAL OVERLAY DESIGNS: Excellent bronzed patina.

Lot 151. MONUMENTAL PAIR OF MATCHING RENAISSANCE REVIVAL TWO PIECE
WALNUT BOOKCASES: The great arched crest on each surrounds a center
finial with incised gilt line carving. Each upper section features arched
top glass doors, also with gilt line carving. The doors are flanked with
fluted Corinthian corner columns with additional carving. The lower case
on each with two drawers above two cupboard doors with heavy moulded and
carved panels. These bases also with gilt line carvings. These are wonderful,
bold, and imposing pieces of furniture no doubt manufactured by one of
the leading eastern companies in the third quarter of the 19th century.
Would make a wonderful addition to a library. A great opportunity to acquire
a rare pair of bookcases. 51" w x 22" d x 110" h.
Lot 154. SUPER CHERRY CARVED CONFERENCE TABLE: This unique table
has four fully carved figures of youths in the kneeling position with one
on each supporting leg of the table. Each youth is slightly different possibly
being both boys and girls. The center cross support has carved dragons
with finial above. The base has six round bun feet. The top of the table
has carved band around it with unique carvings on each end of the top.
A drawer is found in the center of one side. No doubt this was a one of
a kind special made table for an important person or business. One of the

Combination Desk Co., banker's or office desk. Wonderful walnut and burled
walnut case, with elaborate gallery, side-hinged opening desk with many

similar to Figure 20, Page 15 in The King of Desks: Wooten's Patent Secretary,
published by The Smithsonian Institution Press, Washington D.C. 1969. Figure
20 is for patent number 263,055 for cabinet desk issued to Joseph A. Moore,
22 August 1882. These desks are very scarce and this is a wonderful opportunity

Lot 235. RARE BERLINER GRAM-O-PHONE: A wonderful early gramophone.
This 7" manually driven disc phonograph has a cast turn table support and
pulley w/ original horn. All these parts appear to be original. It has
an oval brass metal tag stamped "E. Berliner, Gram-O-Phone, Patent 1888,
89 and 95" on wooden platform. Accompanied with letter of authenticity
from E. Berliner's grandson stating he believes all the parts to be original.
We feel the wooden platform, wooden tone arm and reproducer all appear
to be non-original. This early Berliner gramophone would be a great addition
to anyone's collection. 16" x 10" w/ 16" horn.

MUSIC BOX: The mahogany case is in excellent condition with top gallery
(finials missing), and carved dragons in the upper door. Clear glass bottom
door. Serial No. 30,236. This box is equipped with a coin slot; however,
the mechanism is missing and the changer mechanism is also missing. The
record playing spring barrel and mechanism is included and the combs are
in good condition with all teeth intact. The original piano style sounding
board is also missing, an incorrect sounding board having been added. This
could be an outstanding box for the person that has the needed parts to

mechanism. This beautiful reproducing piano is in a red mahogany finished
case with matching bench. Complete restoration including new sound board
in 1981. Restoration performed by A. & C. in New York City. Player
mechanism completely rebuilt by Frank Thompson in Boston, Mass. This was
the featured piano at AMICA National Convention in 1981. Piano includes
original sales literature and roll catalogs. Also included are two original
