Fretwork on Aeolian Orchestrelle Reed Organ Cabinets
By David Krall

I have long admired the often very elaborate fretwork grills found
on many makes of reed organs, especially the Aeolian Orchestrelle
player instruments.

How were these created? Did they have special carving or routing
machines that could operate from a pattern? Do any such machines
still exist today?
