As mentioned on the Wonders Zoom meeting a few days ago, there
will be a mini organ rally at the New York Museum of Transportation
on Sunday, August 25th, 2024. The museum is less than 5 miles south
of exit 46 of the New York State Thruway (Route 90), just south of
Rochester, New York. There are several restaurants and motels nearby.
For details about the museum see http://www.nymtmuseum.org/
For the last 4 years we have arrived before the museum opens at
11 AM and play for the public until it closes at around 4 PM. Then
we have a couple hours to socialize and enjoy a free pizza party.
Not a big crowd attends, but most of the folks stop to listen to the
organs and chat in the shade under a couple of big maple trees. You
can also tour the Museum for free and ride through the countryside on
their real antique electric trolley car.
We welcome both new and old crank organs and organettes. Bring a lawn
chair and a snack for lunch.
There are numerous interesting attractions in nearby Rochester if you
chose to stay over. Contact me if you have questions.
