"Happy Days Are Here Again" Atlas 3975 Phil Lynch
By Piotr Barcz
Someone emailed me years ago saying they had a copy of the elusive
Atlas roll 3975 that Phil Lynch recorded in 1927, I believe, of
"Happy Days Are Here Again".
They offered to sell it to me but at the time I couldn't make that
happen; however, now I'm calling out to that individual to ask that
they send the roll to Mike Swanson and have it scanned as I can take
that scan and make recuts that are 100 percent accurate and scrap
the project of having to reconstruct the roll from the messy scan
I somehow quantized (which was then taken without my consent and recut
badly).
Spencer Chase's piano roll perforator project [240413 MMD] is pretty
much wrapped up. I made a configuration file that can be used to cut
any type of roll and should track more than adequately on any piano.
If things go well, I'll have a perforator soon and will be able to
recut any piano roll easily so long as I have a ScanImageMIDI file
of said roll.
