Music Box in Auction With Never Seen Features
By David Evans

Re Johan Goyvaerts [240417 MMDigest], I have one very similar.
Mine is also in an inlaid case, but a bit smaller and with just
a single mainspring barrel.

It is a Nicole Freres box with their tune sheet describing six
interchangeable cylinders (which are present in separate storage
boxes, three in each) but the serial number does not comply with
Nicole's numbering. It does, however, comply with Paillard's.

Paul Bellamy reckons it is a Paillard movement supplied to Nicole
and [en-]cased by them.
