Seek Vacuum Unit For Reproduco Unified Theatre Organ
By Jack M. Conway
Hi Group, My Reproduco Unified Theatre Organ has been operating with
a particleboard-encased vacuum unit for decades. In Los Angeles last
month we had eight inches of rain in three days. After the rain
I turned on the organ and the start-up sounded different. I realized
I had no vacuum -- the organ was not playable by hand or music roll.
My question is, does anyone still manufacture these little vacuum
boxes? Player Piano Company carried them decades ago before closing.
I don't know who manufactured mine. I seem to remember one brand being
something like Lee Silent Suction unit.
I would appreciate any information of how I might find one.
