FS: Unique 14-note Paper Strip Organ
By James Williams

I have an interesting 14-note organ available and I do not know who
made it or any history about it. I do not have any paper strips or
rolls to play on it. The builder made a unique organ. I would be
glad to know more about it. It is available for sale. I do not know
what its value may be but I would like to see if someone might be
interested in it.

A piano tuner friend who understands musical scales looked at the
pictures and wrote to me the scale information. [He says] it looks like
the scale is G,A,A#,B,C,C#,D,E,F,F#,G,A,B,C. The back of the pipes are
labeled but some labels have been scratched out. I think this scale
is right. This scale would let it play in the keys of C,D,F, and G.

The lowest notes are probably the farthest in on the tracker bar
because those holes look larger. The clearance all around the pump
means it could take endless rolls.

At the links below are pictures and scale information of the 14-note
pipe organ. The paper width could be 4 and 7/16ths of an inch or less,
but that is the space from left to right for the paper. All of the 13
holes are spaced next to each other with about 1/6th of an inch between
them. The 1st hole on the left is placed 3/16ths of an inch before the
other holes. Each hole is 3/16ths of an inch in diameter.

I told Brian Thornton about this organ and sent him these pictures.
He would be able to supply the paper music for the organ and could
talk with anyone if they needed mor information about his music being
able to play on this organ.

Please email me for more photos and information.
