I've just added some new titles to my Duo-Art roll recut catalogue.
Rather a long delay between updates, thanks to waiting for paper to
come, but these are all ready now. As always, they'll be in my list for
at least a year. The new titles join the many others already listed,
so have a look.
- I've managed to locate several of Rube Bloom's stride-inspired dance
rolls (thanks to Michael Swanson for the scans).
- Spring Fever -- his renowned piano novelty. A long time since it was
recut, this really benefits from the precision given by use of replica
roll-masters. (See this at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8CdCTMD_jBo )
- I Ain't Got Nobody
- All Alone Monday
- I Found a Million Dollar Baby
And duets by Rube Bloom and Frank Milne:
- Thanks for the Buggy Ride
- Just a Bird's-Eye View (Of My Kentucky Home)
Plus some other great hot dance rolls:
- Walter Donaldson song medley - played by the composer (Sam The
Old Accordion Man; Sing Me A Baby Song; A Shady Tree; My Blue Heaven;
At Sundown)
- Without Love, played by Ruth Ferguson
- Red Hot Mamma, played by Alan Moran
- If I Had a Million Dollars, played by Arden and Ohman
And a few new classical offerings, including two composer-played titles:
- Paderewski's 'Legende' -- a glorious and very romantic nocturne
- Hofman's 'Kaleidoskop' -- the composer showing his extraordinary
pianism in a Lisztian etude
- Debussy's 'La Soirée dans Grenade', played by Harold Bauer
All the details can be found on my website; if a title is listed
it's available -- no need to ask!
