Awhile ago I wrote to MMD with questions about this perforator which,
it turned out, was a modified Autotypist, retooled to punch A and G
rolls. In my previous post one reader indicated that it looked like
a perforator project that he had begun. It has a manual keyboard for
punching, which still appears to work, as does a manual advance lever.
But it was obviously designed to read a roll and punch multiple copies
at the same time.
Anyway, I had hoped to do something with this unit, but now realize
that I will never get to it. Besides what is pictured, there are three
rolls of paper, an extra bank of Autotypist relays and an original
Autotypist pump. I paid $275 for this at auction and would be happy to
get that out of it, but if I can't sell it, I will give it away to an
interested person.
The unit is on a pallet and I have a neighbor who can lift it onto
a truck or trailer for an extra $25. Local pickup only in Big Lake,
Minnesota, about an hour from Minneapolis - St. Paul.
