PlaySK Piano Roll Reader Version 3.1 Released
By Piotr Barcz

I'm one of the few people here that use PlaySK but now version 3.1 of
the program has finally been released and I think it's going to be a
game changer for those who want to pretty easily turn CIS files into
MIDI files without having the hassle of figuring out Warren Trachtman's
dated, and frankly unintuitive, CIS to MIDI conversion program.

The software can now open CIS files and you can even manually align the
image to the digital scanning array by telling program exactly where
the margins are, no need to ditz around with Photoshop and CIS to TIFF
conversion to scan your reproducing rolls with correct emulation!

I'd like to mention that this program has the most accurate Ampico
emulation so far out of any method I've seen used. It can also scan all
three Welte roll brands if I'm not mistaken (or maybe T-98 Green isn't
added yet; I can't remember).

I'm currently working on rescanning Ampico piano rolls, particularly
foxtrot medleys from the 71 series.
