Hi folks, I am looking for a set of 15 pipes that was sold a few
weeks ago at an eBay auction.
Some of you might remember a mechanical music enthusiast named Dave
Vincent who lived in Michigan. Dave passed away last year and his
family hired an auction service to sell the house-full of mechanical
music materials left in his home.
At the last of 3 auctions (at the end of April) they sold Dave's
26-note Hofbaur Harmonipan crank organ (which was bought by a friend
of mine). Unfortunately, Dave was working on the organ when he passed
and he had removed the rank of 15 metal flute pipes. As a result, these
pipes got separated from the organ and were sold as a separate lot to
a different e-Bay reseller.
This buyer resold them on e-Bay in early July. We found his name and he
told us that he thinks he sold them to a person named Christopher Brown,
whose e-Bay ID is "youwantstuffihavestuff".
We were hoping that he could provide better contact information but
that is all we got. So, now we are hoping that the buyer is an MMD
subscriber or that one of you might recognize the name or e-Bay ID.
If so, please let me know so I can restore of organ to its former glory.
Thanks a lot,
Craig Smith
