Converting Audio to MIDI - Support Program

I have been enjoying the Audio to MIDI program but have taken a break
from processing because I wanted to streamline the process before
setting my computer to work on thousands of files. Jeff Stauffer has
shared a program written by a friend that allows for the automation of
the Audio to MIDI process. The latest version allows for the selection
of the output folder making it much easier to run multiple instances
of the program to speed up processing.
Initially there was a program to shorten all notes while the sustain
pedal was on. This was necessary because short note repeats messed up
the pedaling and note sustain in a way that had the effect of serious
over-pedaling. This was useful but I figured that my gap fixing program
might be more useful. I also found that shortening all pedal events
made an improvement.
I have written a program that first converts the MIDI files to Type 0
MIDI files because my other programs work better with Type 0. Then it
makes a minimum gap between notes that occur while the pedal is on. Then
it shortens all sustain pedal codes. The program uses a configuration
file (which also serves as a help file) to allow the user to choose any
parameter values within a sensible range.
I am sure there are still some bugs and features that should be added
but I would like to share the program for others to use and provide
feedback. So if others are using the Audio to MIDI program and would
like to try this post processing program please contact me.
