Reproduco Roll Scanning Project With Options
By Charlie Morgan

I am starting an Archival Roll Scanning project with options to get
MIDI files and possibly recuts. This will include both 3" ID core
rolls, and the small funeral organ size rolls. Benefits will include

a) Archive for future posterity every NOS & OS roll ever released.

b) Provide MIDI files to project participants free of charge if they
want to add MIDI control systems to their Reproduco at some point
in time.

c) Recuts can be made at a later date for specific rolls with enough
interest.

There will be no monetary gain to myself or anyone else for
participating in this project. My goal is to scan every NOS & OS
roll ever released.

I personally have about 60 NOS & OS paper rolls and another 20 rolls
have already been scanned. I have someone who has generously offered
to scan as many rolls as we send to him free of charge, as long as
shipping both ways is paid by the participant, and as long as the scans
are not used for profit or commercial gain.

Attached is a list of all the NOS & OS rolls I know of after consulting
with others and researching the internet. Rolls highlighted in yellow
are already scanned. Rolls highlighted in green I have now and will be
sending out for scanning. Rolls with no highlight we will need to borrow
from one of you to get scanned. There may also be others that I don't
have on the list or don't know about.

If you would like to participate (I hope everyone will) please respond
back to me by email with the following information:

1. What specific NOS & OS rolls do you have that you are willing to loan
to us for scanning?

2. Please tell us what other Reproduco rolls are not on the master list,
so we can update the database.

3. Does your Reproduco play the large 3" core multi-tune [orchestrion]
rolls, or the smaller player-piano-size rolls?

4. Do you plan to add a MIDI file player system to your Reproduco?

5. Are you interested in obtaining recuts of NOS & OS rolls? If so,
which ones? Mounted on a large 3" core or small piano-roll core?

I hope to hear back from everyone. Please forward this email to any
other Reproduco owners you know.

Thanks!
