FS: Roll Scanner for T100 Welte & 88-note Rolls
By Spencer Chase

I am never going to have time to obtain and scan piano rolls so I am
selling my latest, greatest roll scanner. It works really well but any
potential buyer needs to discuss in detail exactly what it is and does.

The scanner connects with a network cable so you need a computer with
a network (LAN) port or an adapter. The scanner is quite gentle on
rolls unless they have long unbridged slots; these need to be repaired.
The scanner is quite portable and I have a case for it that is suitable
for airline checked luggage.

The scanner uses two arrays so as to be able to scan rolls as wide as
T100 Welte-Mignon (12.9" wide). Of course it does all 88-note 11.25"
rolls, and anything smaller with additional adapter chucks being made.
There are minor disadvantages to a dual-array CIS scanner which need to
be discussed in detail.

I do not have any time for entertaining people who have no interest
in buying and using a roll scanner. The price is $3000 or best offer in
a reasonable time. This machine is unique and ideal for just the right
person. Write for details if you are serious about buying and using a
roll scanner, otherwise please do not. I can provide photos and examples
of files made with it.

One last thing: this is a really well-made and easy-to-use scanner.
The electronics have been 100% reliable (built by Warren Trachtman so
what else is to be expected).
