Hello -- I have recently been enjoying a number of episodes of the
Burns and Allen Radio Show from 1940, when Gracie was running for
president on the Suprise Party ticket. She had an official campaign
song, "Vote For Gracie," the sheet music for which could be obtained
by radio listeners mailing in their boxtops from Hinds Honey and
Almond Cream lotion packages.
"Vote For Gracie" is a catchy tune, and I've been wondering if this
song was ever issued on a piano roll by any company that was still
making rolls in 1940. Does anyone know if such rolls exist? If so,
who produced them? If anyone has a copy of this roll for sale, I'd
definitely be interested in buying one.
I'd also be interested in purchasing an original copy of the sheet
music. Even a good quality Xerox or a high resolution scan would be
acceptable, if no original is available to buy. Any information will
be much appreciated!
Thank you and best regards,
