Coin Mechanism Sold By Player Piano Co.

[ Ref. John Ravert, Sr., in 221031 MMDigest ]
It sounds like the coin mechanism John Ravert is looking for is the
type previously sold by Player Piano Co. It held up to six quarters
in an "S" shaped track.
The lowest quarter operated a micro-switch and was held in place by
a brass catch controlled by a small pneumatic. The unit was designed
by Paul Gottschalk and I built many of them while I worked for him
which we wholesaled to PPCo.
The body of the mechanism is an aluminum casting and just over a week
ago I held the foundry pattern to make those castings in my hands,
debating whether to take it with me or not. In the end, I left it
there figuring that the cost to have them made today would require
a large investment.
I hope you're able to find a used one, John!
