Double-comb 9.5" Symphonion on YouTube
By Jochen Schäfer

Hello dear MMDers, last Monday I recorded and uploaded a new series
on YouTube, with optical quality thanks to Sandra Kopf, who you
might know from earlier uploads.

This time features my newest arrival, a 9.5" (24 cm) Symphonion with
two combs, one on the left with the low tones, one on the right with
the high tones, made in the 1890s, an early key-wound machine.

All in all, I have 22 discs for this instrument, but I only played 21,
because the other disc plays a Christmas song, which I will bring in
December. As you will see, I had some effort to lay in some discs,
but anyway it worked, and that's what counts.

The series has two parts: the first one with 11 discs, the second part
with 10:

Part 1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6Fd4Ox3-oA
Part 2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1CDYrgSJOs

Enjoy watching and listening! Best collector's regards from Marburg
in Germany,

Jochen Schäfer, a.k.a. Jochen Kopf
