Howard Pianola Tracker Bar Scale
By Wolfgang Heisig
Dear friends of mechanical music, in this case pianola music.
I plan to punch rolls for a Howard Pianola. Can anyone answer the
following questions for me?
1. Has this instrument the international 88-size system like Aeolian?
2. Are there tracks for controlling dynamics?
3. Are there tracks for Themodist/Solodant, etc.?
4. Is there a track for control of the right pedal (sustain)?
4. What track controls the re-roll function?
I thank you for good information.
Wolfgang Heisig
[ 1. Yes.
[ 2. No.
[ 3. No.
[ 4. The sustain pedal hole is near the left side, as in Aeolian;
[ there is no hole for the soft pedal.
[ 5. No track -- the pianolist must not sleep!
