I started years ago keeping a supply of rubber bands and changing them
out on each roll as I play, but you can't buy too many or the rubber
turns turn to mush before you use them on the rolls.

Now, in this world of "Better Living Through Chemistry", I'm wondering
if anyone has come up with something that isn't nasty to the paper and
more durable than the rubber band to do the job. Does anyone know of
any such?
