Don't Use Contact Cement on Pedal Pneumatics

Ed Chaban refers to the use of contact cement in a restored piano
at eBay [220822 MMD]. I looked at the pictures of the pneumatics and
personally I do not see how it can be determined what glue was used.
To me it looks like it could be hide glue oozing out? What in the
pictures suggests the use of contact cement?
