Seek Special Screws for 3-D Printed Player Parts

I have successfully fastened 3D printed parts with screws, but not
the ones you ask about. May I suggest two alternatives:

1) Print the screw hole to the proper size for tapping for a standard
machine screw. Thread the part as deep as you can to provide the most
thread depth. Assemble normally, but not overly tight. This creates
a weaker fastening system than normal (because of the weaker plastic
threads). However it works surprisingly well in most applications.

2) Print the screw hole oversize and with a hex shaped recess on the
backside. The hex recess should be the same size as the hex nut that
matches the selected machine screw. Press fit the hex nut into the
recess and hold it in place with a dab of epoxy. Assemble and tighten
as tight as needed. This creates a strong fastening of the parts.

Both these techniques worked for me. Printing the hex cavity makes the
part more secure and assembly goes faster.
