FS: 1927 Chickering 5'8" Ampico in Pennsylvania
By Larry Toto

For Sale: Ampico Model A -- make offer! About 25 years ago I purchased
a 1927 Chickering 5'8" grand piano with a complete Ampico Model A.
It was to be a "grand rebuild". I removed the Ampico parts and labeled
and boxed them.

The soundboard had a couple of cracks that I repaired using Spurlock's
router method. I refinished the soundboard with shellac and put on a
new reproduction soundboard decal and top-coating with clear lacquer.
I had all white keys resurfaced with Ivoroid [celluloid] as the
original ivory was cracked and chipped in places.

And there the project stopped. I got divorced, moved, and moved again
thinking that one day I will finish the job. That is not going to
happen.

So I have virtually the entire piano and Ampico Model A sitting here.
If you have an interest or think you can use the parts in your rebuild,
please contact me at the email or cell phone below. I would like to
see the whole thing go in one fell swoop, if possible, as the Ampico
and piano are mated.
