While I applaud the scanning and video scans, if the copyright year
is not included when the information is entered into the database
that particular roll will _never_ be available for download.
The program is set up to allow downloads of everything pre-1927 and
on January 1st of each year, that date advances automatically. If
"n/a" ['not available] is the entry in the copyright year, that roll
is skipped over.
There are catalogs that list the tolls, particularly the Duo-Art and
Ampico rolls, and the copyright date is clearly listed. In addition,
it's also on the roll label.
Case in point: Duo-Art 01103, Rosalie, from the Richard Stibbons
collection -- a quick online search shows the box label which includes
the copyright as well as the list of the songs.
If an entry is to be made to this database, please take the time to
ensure that the entry is complete and correct, since we have no way
to edit the list. If not, why bother?
Respectfully,
Nick Klosz
