Brass 'Art Deco' Ornaments for an Ampico Piano
By Mike Walter

Hi all, I received the picture attached from a friend who received the
actual articles. I offered to post the picture with his explanation.
Here goes --

> Mike, my attached photo shows two identical cast metal (brass-plated
> steel or iron -- a magnet sticks well to them) 'Art Deco' pieces that
> measure 3 inches by about 1 inch, each having 2 small screw mounting
> holes and one deep-welled about 5/16" dia hole. Total Height = 3.15"
> (inches). Total Width = 1.23". Depth or greatest thickness (near the
> center) = 0.84" The main hole (which might be drilled or turned into
> the casting) measures 0.348" diameter by about 0.957" deep.
>
> The person who gave them to me last week said they are from an Ampico
> A grand. Do you recognize what they might be? The backsides read
> 'Dovercraft 3400'. Thanks, Fred

If you can identify these brass pieces, please let us know what they
are, so everybody on the MMD will know what they are. If you would like
to obtain them, they are available for the cost of shipping them to you
via US Postal Service.

Best wishes,
Mike Walter
