Hi y'all (again), Another project on my "to-do" list is to rebuild and
re-tube a 1916 Stoddard-Ampico upright piano. It has been struggling
to play on, but it just isn't going to do it.
One unusual problem that not too many player piano owners have is
that the On-Off switch is a two-button device which is spring-loaded.
There is one rod which is screwed into the lower button. The upper
button pops in and out, depending on what the other button does. For
a long time the switch didn't want to stay on, but as of tonight,
it doesn't want to turn off.
If you have one of these unusual switches in your collection that
you're not using, please let me know. Thanks very much for responding!
Best wishes,
Mike Walter
