Hi All, I work for QRS at home and I need to borrow 12 QRS rolls
for a short period of time.
QRS is up-grading their piano roll cutting process. The Apple IIe
computer system is being retired and they are introducing the .rol
computer system to perforate rolls and print words onto the finished
piano rolls.
QRS has moved from their former Niagara Street address in Buffalo,
New York, to Seneca, Pennsylvania. In the process of moving all of
the equipment and roll stock to Seneca, many of the "layout" copies
(a copy of the first original cut of a roll, complete with words in
their proper location) were placed onto _large_ shipping boxes which
are resting on wooden pallets. There are somewhere close to six
pallets full of layout rolls and other such "stuff".
At the present time, I have a need for twelve specific rolls that
have back-orders, but the orders cannot be filled because the actual
placement of the words is in question. If you have any of the following
QRS rolls, please send me an email to coordinate the shipping of the
rolls to me for a short period of time. I will reimburse your shipping
costs.
My job is to determine where the words are supposed to go on the new
computer .rol file, which contains [the instructions for punching]
all of the "holes" in the roll and will have all the words once I get
finished with my part for that roll. So far, I've done over 530 .rol
files for QRS with (I'm sure!) a bunch more to go. But at the present
time, the 12 rolls needed are as follows in numerical order:
3807 Arkansas Traveler
6233 Basin Street Blues (Newer arrangement, not the 1940s orange label
arrangement)
6822 With A Smile And A Song
7009 Beer Barrel Polka
7940 Down In The Valley
8604 Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo
9591 Purple People Eater
10260 Those Were The Days My Friend
10422 We've Only Just Begun
10485 Alone Again (Naturally)
WF-9189 La Cumparsita
XP-400 Crosby Stills & Nash
If you have any of the above titles and are willing to help, give me
a call at 1-716-656-9583 (Buffalo, New York) or send me an e-mail at
mikew_14086@yahoo.com.geentroep [delete ".geentroep" to reply]
Thanks so very much!
Best wishes,
Mike Walter
