Having recently purchased a restored Tangley Calliaphone with a MIDI
file player system, I would like to know a good source or two for
MIDI music files that would be suitable for it.

Originally it would have been fitted with an A-roll player, so any
MIDI file that duplicates that format will work completely -- though
not all titles, of course, are equally well-suited to a calliope!

The worst one I ever heard was "Ave Maria" being played as a jazzy
up-tempo waltz! No thank you! Other MIDI files can work, too,
sometimes with conversion software, but I don't know much about these
things.

Anyhow, this Tangley fulfills a childhood dream that I've had for
over 60 years! As Alvin the Chipmunk says, "It's a Christmas present
-- from ME to ME!"
