I have just acquired the organette collection of the late Charlie
Moore of Dallas, Texas. We still have to unpack the 27-foot-long
truck filled with 'goodies' but there are over 150 machines, over
900 6" cobs (original and reproductions) and over 130 13" Grand
cobs (original and repro) waiting to be unloaded.
It will take me quite awhile to get everything sorted out, but if
you have any particular wants, or a 'wish list' in the organette
realm, please let me know. Eventually I'll have a list of what's
there.
There are about 50 of the 6" cob players in different case styles.
Those I will be wholesaling out in quantity if anyone's interested.
Many play, some don't -- everything is sold as-is.
There are also about a dozen player parlor organs (roll playing and
with and without keyboards) still in Texas waiting for new homes.
I can put you in contact with the owner if there is any interest.
Their interest is to sell them all at once, not to piecemeal them out.
Most were restored and have beautiful Victorian cases; some are plain
cased, some haven't been touched. Again, all are sold as is. Prices
will very fair and will be discussed between the buyer and seller.
I'm just letting people know about them.
There's also an original, complete children's carousel that operates
a Gem Roller Organ as it rotates! Contact me for contact information.
