Oktave Player Organ Rolls
By Mike Walter

[ Ref. Mike Boyd in 210928 MMDigest ]

Hi all, It's nice to see that my Oktave (or "Octave") player organ
rolls have still survived and are popping up here and there. I'm sorry
to hear that someone had passed away (presumably) in England.

The rolls were a lot of fun to make, mostly on the marking piano at
QRS on Niagara Street in Buffalo, New York. Lee Teply was really
a whiz at the piano and he was an accomplished organist. It took only
one recording for him to play each of the pieces (eleven sessions
total). Those were the good old days!

Best wishes,

Mike Walter
Buffalo, New York
