Seek Rolls Played By Ruggero Leoncavallo
By Leonardo Forti

Does someone know whether the composer Ruggero Leoncavallo
played himself rolls for any roll company (Welte, or others)?

This information and/or the rolls themselves are required by
a museum in Italy.

Leonardo Forti
Rome, Italy

[ According to the rollography, "The Welte Mignon, its music and
[ musicians," by Charles Davis Smith (AMICA/Vestal Press, 1994),
[ in August(?), 1905, Leoncavallo recorded six of his own pieces
[ for the Welte-Mignon system. Some of those Welte recordings were
[ later converted to play on Ampico, ArtEcho and other systems.
