Multi-tone Organ Pipes
By Niels Berkers

[ Ref. Philippe Crasse in 210526 MMDigest ]

The pipes in the images look very interesting. Multi-tone pipe would be
a good description but, as Robbie noted, not Polyphonic, as they don't
(seem to) play the various notes at the same time, but rather can switch
between multiple notes by opening valves, just like fingers on a flute.
I toyed with this idea as well to use the available space for bass notes
more efficiently, but I never built anything like it (yet).

Thank you for sharing the pictures. It's a fascinating principle.
I'm wondering if there is a complex valve system to operate it from
a chromatic keyboard/keyframe or if there would be some seperate key(s)
to switch to the other notes.

Kind regards from the Netherlands,
Niels Berkers
