Hi there, Bill and I have had a couple of Scopitones in the over 40
years of restoring pianos. As far as we were concerned they were like
any other part of our collection: something that plays music.
Our son was in his teens at that time and his friends really got a kick
out of it. In fact, everyone that came to our house liked it -- so much
so that people would quit paying attention to the reproducing pianos,
nickelodeons, music boxes, monkey organs, etc., that we had spent so
much time working on. They just enjoyed the Scopitones.
We did sell off our Scopitone along with a lot of our other items when
we moved to Florida. But we have seen some in other collections since
then. Those were the fun days.
