Remembrances of Ray Siou
By Bill and Dee Kavouras

[ Ref. Paul Johnson in 210227 MMDigest ]

I remember that Ray used to go to government auctions or Post Office
auctions and buy all kinds of odds and ends. He then used those items
to give as gifts to the customers that bought rolls from him.

One particularly nasty day in Chicago, during a snowstorm, we received
a large box of rolls that we had ordered from Ray. Along with the rolls
he sent a number of gifts for us. I remember there were several old
postcards, a pair of mittens, a box of dried apricots and several other
items. That really made my day.

He also used to complain about the customers that spent hundreds of
thousands of dollars on a machine and only bought two rolls. Haha!
