Imhof and Muckle Orchestrion in Ireland
By Ivan Hemeryck

Hi all, I am the proud owner of an Imhof and Muckle orchestrion,
no. 3141, built in circa 1895 in Vöhrenbach, Germany. I am trying
to gather up as much information on its history as possible, i.e.,
who was it built for, how much did it cost and how it managed to
come to Ireland in the early 1900s.

It was electrified at some stage and it is still in working order,
playing both paper manila rolls and the older, heavy brass rolls.

Is there an archive or order book for these machines available to
shed light on its history?
