I had posed a question on the 170713 Mechanical Music Digest about
information on the book, "Mechanical Singing-bird Tabatieres", by
Geoffrey T. Mayson. It has been quite a while, but I thought I would
send a note letting you know what has occurred in my quest.
I am now the copyright holder for this work, specifically for
educational and research purposes. I have created a Facebook page for
this work and other information that I have been able to gather, with
the hope that others will be able to add to it. In addition, I have
a DropBox location that gives access to this as well.
The files have my license, the book, selections on how the whistle
is made, how to feather a bird, and a set of CAD/CAM files of a bird.
These are wonderful devices and I believe I have met my goal of
ensuring some of the works describing them will last.
