Painting a Calfskin Drum Head
By Mike Perry

I have an Arburo Jazz organ and would like to get a painting done
on the drum head of a dancing couple. This is what is seen on most
organs of this type.

What kind of paint is used, taking in consideration that the drum
head will have some flexibility? And any helpful hints appreciated.

[ An artistic friend painted a bucolic lakeside scene on the bass
[ drum head of his 1920s jazz drummer's kit. He says the oil paints
[ he used will probably outlive the calfskin head. -- Robbie
