Sorry this is tardy, but I have been fighting with USPS over some
issues, for which I have to take some responsibility. The spring
manufacturer required an actual sample of the spring in order to get
the force parameters correct. I sent the sample about the first week
in December via First Class Mail.
Unwisely, I did not send it with any tracking requirement. When it
still had not been received by Christmas Eve (I can only surmise the
double whammy of the Christmas rush and Covid-19 combined to thwart
the process) I sent another sample on 12/26, this time as Certified
Mail with tracking. When it _still_ had not been received a week later,
I went to track it and found, much to my embarrassment, I had misplaced
the tracking number. Grrrrrr!
And now I am finding that without that number, USPS can do very
little in trying to find it, at least that's what "they" are telling
me. I have "escalated" the case about as far as I can at the moment,
so I have to ask for everyone's patience as I try to get this sorted
out, and apologies for my mis-handling of the process.
