In MMD Digest 12-26-20, Alan Brehaut asked about the availability of
boxes and leader wires for the Wurlitzer APP 5-tune changer rolls I was
promoting.

We've recut over 130 APP rolls over the past four years that have used
over 2,100 APP changer boxes and wire leaders with grommets that were
custom made either by or for John Malone of Play-Rite Music. The boxes
are now gone, but there might be more in the future. We have a few of
the wire leaders left.

I have had several other requests for boxes and leaders. The size is
the same as Wurlitzer used, 2-3/4 x 3 x 13 inches, and the quantity is
as good or better than Wurlitzer. We might do another run of these in
the future if there is sufficient demand. Fair warning: the last time
we sold these the boxes were $6 and wire leader/cloth/grommet assembly
was $10 each, plus shipping. Costs have likely risen since then.

We no longer use the wooden blocks at each end of the box to center and
secure the roll and wire leader. Styrofoam pieces with a grove for the
leader are much better, cheaper, easier to make, and keep the weight
down for shipping.

I will keep a list of interested parties in the event we make more in
the future. Let me know what you want and the quantity.
