Hello again, Thanks for the response on yesterday's post of the same
topic. It does appear that Willis Boyd's organ is the organ displayed
on Verbeeck's website.
I must ask a follow-up question: where is the organ now? The COAA
article suggests it was donated to a university in Michigan. The
article was written in 2007, five years after Robbie saw the organ at
Boyd's ranch in 2002, so its very possible that the organ was donated
in the meantime between the two.
In addition, in Robbie's photo, the organ lacks the figure playing
the accordion on the far left side in the photo on Verbeeck's website.
Was the accordion was removed? Installed behind the façade? Perhaps
somebody else who has seen the organ could update me. Other photographs
would also be greatly appreciated.
Does anybody have the key scale for the Verbeek 125 scale? If so I would
greatly appreciate it if you could send it to me. I contacted the
Stahl's Automotive Collection with the same request, as they also have
a 125-key Verbeeck, complete with swell shades and a full carillon with
brass bells! ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GwdT1TOYgcE ) Sadly,
after one follow up, I never heard back from them. If you happen to
have it, please do not hesitate to send it to me.
Thanks again,
Christian Tedesco
[ Here's another photo with better detail. Now I see that the girl on
[ the right holds a herald trumpet (or post horn), while the girl on
[ the left plays a small harp.
