Dear all, In my role as Publicity Officer of the North West Player
Piano Association in the UK ( http://www.pianola.org.uk/ ), I've
recently been sent a link to a video of one of our members, concert
pianolist Michael Broadway, in a classical concert which he gave
a couple of weeks ago, immediately before England went into lockdown
(again!).
In the concert, lasting around an hour, he uses his 88/65 note
Pianola piano player (coupled to a modern Yamaha grand piano) to
interpret (via pedals and hand controls) eight non-reproducing
rolls mainly by composers active in the 19th century, including
a 150th birthday celebration of Leopold Godowsky via three of his
transcriptions and one of his compositions. The video was well received
when I distributed the link to our members, and the suggestion was made
that perhaps I should make it more widely available via the MMD.
Here is the link to the page containing the programme of pieces,
programme notes and the video itself; you will need to scroll down
past the notes and pictures (which can take some time to download)
to get to the video: https://pottersbarurc.org/latest-news-2-2/
Alternatively, the direct link to the video itself is given here
though obviously you will miss the programme notes:

Michael is a classically-trained musician and organ builder who is
the Custodian and resident tuner of the famous Father Willis organ in
the Royal Albert Hall, London, best known in music circles as the
venue for much of the UK's annual Promenade Concert music season
("The Proms"). He also restores player pianos and from time to time
performs as a concert pianolist; he was the recitalist at the North
West Player Piano Association's 40th Anniversary concert a few years
ago.
I hope that this video will help brighten the long evenings, as it did
for me and my wife when we watched it. Many thanks to David Perry for
drawing this video to my attention and to Michael for permission to
circulate the link to it.
Best wishes from the UK (which is still grappling with the virus,
though with autumn leaves providing a bit of much needed-colour),
and keep well!
