For sale: Fine English music box of circa 1880 made by Van Guisan &
Son, 27 & 29 Pold Street, Liverpool. I suspect this box may have been
made in Switzerland and imported and sold by Van Guisan in Liverpool.

The musical movement works fairly well, but would profit from a
thorough going over and professional cleaning. The overall size is
18" Length, 8-3/4" wide and 9" tall; the cylinder is 8" Long.

The case has sustained some damage through the 100-plus years of use.
There is a sizeable chip out of the back part of the lid, and some
missing painted graining. The lid has sustained a crack across the
top and has been partially repaired. Needs some finessing!
