AMICA Bulletin Nov-Dec 2020 Edition Released
By Glenn Thomas
The AMICA Bulletin's November - December 2020 edition has been printed
and mailed to subscribers. Most should receive it over the next 10
days.
Our lead story is Matt Jaro's lengthy interview and picture story with
Ed Openshaw about his years with Don Rand in collecting and selling
music machines, and recutting hundreds of rolls over the years as "The
Clark Orchestra Roll Company". Most every mechanical music enthusiast
has heard of Don Rand, but Ed's detailed chronicle of those years is
not to be missed! There is so much to tell, we will have another
installment in the Jan-Feb 2021 issue.
We also feature the story of the little-known Bayernhof Museum in
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; recount how George Gershwin played again
with the Cincinnati Orchestra; and tell the story of The Great
Wurlitzer Band Organ Recall in North Tonawanda, New York.
If you are not an AMICA member, join now at www.amica.org and get
this and all the other Bulletins issued in 2020.
