scientific instruments, toys, technology and photographica is
scheduled for 30-31 October 2020 in Cologne, Germany.
The two-day sale includes around 180 lots of mechanical music in

talking machines and automata. Mechanical music begins the sale on
Friday 30 October.
Particular highlights include two rare station musical boxes, one

Amongst the disc musical boxes are a 20-1/2-inch Komet Model 240 and
a 17-1/4-inch Stella with provenance from the music hall star Vesta
Tilley.
Musical timepieces and automata number an unusual Viennese picture
clock depicting "The Surrender at Világos", a Berlin longcase clock
with mechanical dulcimer and a musical clock with monkey artist
automaton in the style of Bontems. There are also a number of fine
barrel organs by Wilhelm Bruder Söhne, Bacigalupo, Eudard Hilger,
Theodore Charles Bates and others.
