Mechanical Music Instruments on YouTube
By Piotr Barcz

Hi, I thought I would post a list of some of (what I think are) the
best YouTube channels with mechanical music instruments:

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9z-HBeqDv0wCT3jmF3s__w
This channel is purely made up of videos depicting a beautiful Themola
player piano. There are over 300 videos to date.

https://www.youtube.com/user/AeolianHall1
This is the channel of the late Randolph Herr. As many of you know,
he has _way_ over 300 videos of rare piano rolls that can't really be
found anymore.

https://www.youtube.com/user/pianmn199
The late John Taber's channel with his three amazing reproducing
pianos. Among the videos are the rare "Just Friends" Welte-Mignon
piano roll and "You're the Cream in My Coffee" Welte roll by Lutter.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYvjAu5xehzgwO0pDAMAsNg
This my channel where I post videos of my Francis Bacon player piano
(it needs plenty of work though). I have quite a few rolls that
I have not been able to find on the Internet or anywhere.

https://www.youtube.com/user/AmpicoGPM
Don't know who ran this channel [John Del Carlo] but there are some
great quality videos. Duo-Arts and Ampicos all over but also a disc
music box.

https://www.youtube.com/user/merimar3
This guy has a great 1916 Behr & Bros. player piano and many
phonographs as well (do those count as mechanical music?) and there
are also some older videos of a 1915 Fuehr & Stemmer.

https://www.youtube.com/user/ampicoab
This channel has a bunch of videos of band organs, weird Duo-Mignon
Steinways and footage of a Seeburg H.

https://www.youtube.com/user/armallya
Great sound and good video to film a great Stroud Themodist. Hundreds
of videos.

https://www.youtube.com/user/dcramey
Official channel of the D. C. Ramey restoration company. They even
built a replica of a Seeburg H (the project took some four years if
I'm not mistaken).

https://www.youtube.com/user/RagtimeFreak86
There are quite a few videos of his player piano which needs some work
but at least it plays by itself...

https://www.youtube.com/user/DuoArtDanOz
A beautiful Steinway Themodist, a Beale grand in need of restoration
and a great Weber Duo-Art.

https://www.youtube.com/user/mechanicmusic45
A Harrington and a Stroud. Great rare rolls and the Stroud has great
sound on it's videos!

https://www.youtube.com/user/bustermac09/videos
This guy has a great sounding Marshall & Wendell and some really rare
rolls, I suggest the black and white rag video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9j0LxAyseE

https://www.youtube.com/user/clariona
Many rare or brand new rolls filmed up close on a foot pumped Ampico.
211 videos to date.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtDS--PQEELILYExYEQHd6g
I love this channel, the guy who runs it has a beautiful Steck
Themodist. Hundreds of videos of the piano and pretty constant
uploading.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZXnUI89Xnc
Who doesn't know good ol' Frank Himpsl who has churned out the best
piano roll scans and has some great piano playing and composing skills!
His channel has some great videos of player-pianos and piano roll scans
played on digital pianos.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC94WNMVNju8UiNF-o6XFGDA
Omar has a 1979 player piano and some fun rolls.

https://www.youtube.com/user/Pianosyncrazy
Great audio and decent video. Rare rolls. And a Stroud Duo-Art!

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCV20K2PwWN9hP8VblTT6bgQ
Beautiful sounding music box and a crappy sounding but great looking
player piano. I recommend the music box videos.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXAFOAzraaBPKUI99YxmpVw/videos
I just found this channel and looks pretty decent. Lots of organ
videos.

That's all for now.
